Job description
About SnapMagic
SnapMagic is building the digital growth engine for the global electronics industry.
Our core platform (formerly SnapEDA) already reaches 2M+ engineers annually and is the default discovery layer for electronic components. We're now scaling SnapMagic Copilot, built on a proprietary dataset of 10M+ components, serving as the discovery and demand layer for the global electronics industry.
This is a category-defining opportunity.
We're looking for a product-minded engineering leader who loves building. Someone who gets energy from shipping products, solving hard technical problems, and using AI to help a small team move faster than companies many times its size.
Since our seed round, we've doubled revenue with a small team operating at a very high bar. The demand is real. The market is ready. What's missing is a hands-on engineering leader who can turn momentum into a repeatable shipping machine.
We're looking for someone who has personally built and shipped complex products at a fast-growing, VC-backed startup and knows what it takes to scale from early adoption to sustained, reliable usage.
What you'll own
This is a builder role, not a delegator role.
Personally build and ship production-quality software until the product and execution motion are proven.
Set the bar for engineering quality, speed, and technical decision-making through your own execution.
Own SnapMagic Copilot, including LLM workflows, agents, orchestration, evaluation, and rapid iteration.
Build and improve AI-powered automation that increases engineering leverage across the business.
Own recommendation and relevance systems, continuously improving them through real customer usage.
Scale a high-traffic platform and advertising system under production load.
Partner closely with the CEO on product strategy, roadmap, and technical priorities.
Make pragmatic technical tradeoffs where learning and speed matter more than perfection.
Run tight execution loops focused on shipping, learning, and improving—not activity.
As the company grows, hire and lead a high-performing engineering team while remaining deeply technical.
Who we're looking for
You've built and shipped products in a fast-paced, VC-backed startup where speed, ownership, and ambiguity were part of the job.
You're a strong full-stack engineer who still loves writing production code and wants to remain hands-on.
You have experience building AI-powered products using LLMs, agents, orchestration frameworks, automation, or adjacent technologies.
You naturally look for ways to automate repetitive work and use AI to help a small team accomplish more.
You care deeply about product outcomes and customer adoption—not just elegant code.
You're comfortable doing whatever the product needs most, whether that's debugging production issues, improving infrastructure, shipping features, or tackling technical debt.
You make sound technical tradeoffs, prioritize well under ambiguity, and know when to optimize for speed versus scalability.
You want to build an exceptional product and engineering organization—not just manage one.
What we offer
Competitive salary and meaningful equity
Medical, dental, and vision
401(k) (non-matching)
Commuter benefits
Catered lunches on in-office days
A passionate, low-ego, fast-moving team
How we work
In office Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Remote Tuesday and Thursday
If you want to build a category, own software used by millions, and help define how AI transforms the electronics industry, we'd love to talk.
