Drive strategy, alignment, and execution as SnapMagic’s Chief of Staff—partner to the CEO and force-multiplier across the company.
Job description
SnapMagic is on a mission to revolutionize the $1.3 trillion electronics industry. Our platform empowers engineers to build faster by making it easy to find and use circuit schematics and CAD models.
Our existing platform (previously known as SnapEDA) is the leading library tool for electrical engineers, helping 2 million engineers each year design products like drones, electric cars, and satellites 10x faster. We are now building SnapMagic Copilot, which is built on a proprietary dataset of over 10 million components, schematic symbols, and footprints created by SnapMagic.
As we scale aggressively, we’re building a culture of excellence, speed, and ownership — and we’re looking for a Chief of Staff who thrives in a fast-moving environment where impact is the name of the game.
Job requirements
What You’ll Be Doing
As SnapMagic’s Chief of Staff, you’ll be the CEO’s right hand — driving the operating rhythm, fostering alignment, and ensuring follow-through across the organization. This is not an “observer” or “coordinator” role. You’ll personally drive critical projects, ensure our teams stay accountable to outcomes, and solve strategic challenges that unlock growth. You’ll be embedded across the business — collaborating with product, go-to-market, engineering, and ops to identify risks, resolve blockers, and push initiatives over the line. This is a unique opportunity to sit at the center of the company, with a mandate to make the company faster, sharper, and more effective.
1. Drive Alignment + Accountability
Ensure company goals (OKRs/KPIs) are clear, measurable, and tracked rigorously
Partner with team leads to reinforce accountability, identify blockers, and drive forward key initiatives
Run weekly leadership syncs, All Hands, Manager Meetings, Fix-it Fridays, and retros — continuously optimizing our operating cadence
2. Unblock and Accelerate Execution
Dive into cross-functional challenges and work hands-on with teams to remove bottlenecks
Help projects move from “stuck” to “shipped” through focused coordination and direct problem-solving
Surface and mitigate risks before they escalate
Lead high-priority initiatives that don’t have a clear home — from new revenue experiments to pricing, org design, or system implementations
3. Leverage the CEO
Prioritize and push forward the CEO’s top initiatives — including hiring, pricing, and strategic partnerships
Manage board/investor updates, coordinate exec communications, and keep the company aligned around the vision
Assist with inbox triage as needed to protect time for deep work and strategic focus
4. Champion Culture + Communication
Reinforce a performance-oriented, high-trust culture
Own internal communications and messaging — from All Hands to key updates and rituals
Run team offsites, cultural events, onboarding programs, and internal training initiatives
5. Support Talent + Team Development
Partner with hiring managers to ensure a sharp recruiting process.
Monitor team performance and morale; design comp ladders, run suggestion boxes, and manage leadership development programs
Who You Are
High-Agency Operator: You see what’s missing and fix it without being asked. You don’t wait — you push
Structured Thinker: You bring clarity to chaos. You love systems, playbooks, and measurable outcomes
Cross-Functional Leader: You’ve worked across departments and know how to build trust and drive alignment
Fast + Focused: You move with urgency and don’t get lost in analysis. You have a nose for what matters
Trusted Partner: You have strong judgment and communicate clearly, even under pressure. You know when to raise concerns, when to offer a better way, and when to execute decisively. You’re comfortable being a sounding board — and you know how to align quickly once a decision is made.
Excellent Communicator: Clear, crisp writing and verbal skills. Able to distill complexity into action
Qualifications
5–10 years in a high-performance startup or consulting, operations, business strategy, or Chief of Staff role
Proven track record of driving business initiatives to completion
Strong experience with internal comms, planning processes, and project execution
Familiarity with tools like Notion, Trello, Slack, and G Suite
Must be onsite in Redwood City at least 3 days a week
